Holiday Online Card Class

In preparation for the holidays, which I might add are just around the corner I have started to get a head start on my cards!  Of course a little inspiration from the Kristina and Jennifer help!  I always enjoy their card classes.

Over the next few days I will show you a few cards that I have created.  I hope you find inspiration as I have!

Halloween Mini Album

Had to share this cute mini album I created using the MFT tag die.  I cannot take credit for the idea as Cheri from Scrappinnwrappin on YT created one herself.  Thank You Cheri for always inspiring me!
Love the way it turned out!  Would love to hear what you think!

Layout Share!

Happy Monday my crafty friends!  As promised I have a video for you today of a couple of layouts that I have completed.  I have been so inspired by Jana Eubanks sketches that I just can't seem to get enough of them.  It's keeping the juices flowing which means I am getting some crafting done!!

I'm off to puppy school tonight so I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and evening.

Oh My Word!

Just when you think you might get ahead something get's in the way!  Without giving you all a sop story I ended up with a sinus infection, my poor 3.5 month old puppy Maya is on her second round of antibiotics because of a urinary tract infection and my 1 year old puppy Nala ended up on antibiotics as well because of vomiting.  Gosh does it ever end!

I have to be honest I have been posting on YT more frequently as it is sometimes just easier to show and tell rather than trying to get a blog post up.  My bad!  Having said that over the next couple of days I will be posting some of my videos.  A few hauls, a few layouts and a few cards!  Hope you will pop by!

I am also very excited about a new purchase that I have made, although it is not in my hands yet I hope to have it at the end of the week.  I bought a used Silhouette SD!!!  I could not justify spending the money for the Cameo, not yet anyway!  I will be selling my E2 so if any of you know someone from Canada that's looking for one let me know.  It's only been used a couple of times.  I have the Imagine and have been making much more use out of it instead.

So will see you back here tomorrow with a video!

Happy Monday Crafters!  I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

Today I have a few gift card holders that I made for Christmas gifts using the My Creative Time gift card holder die, did I mention that I "heart" it!!  The possibilities are endless and perfect for any occasions.  I had so much fun with each and every one of them!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of your day and will see you back here tomorrow.

Peace On Earth

Happy hump day!  The weekend is right around the corner!  The card I made is actually to be handed out next Christmas! Never too late to start right!  I love it.  Very simple but love the look.  I cannot take credit for the design as I did see it in a magazine.  I used my Imagine to print and cut out all the butterflies and the sentiment is from Mr. Cricut Crazy.  A ribbon, inked all the butterflies and some liquid pearls and card is complete!  I used non traditional Christmas colors which I also love.

Have a great crafty day!

Happy New Year!

Wow, it's been over a month since I last posted.  Time sure flies.  I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all!  I have to tell you although I was a good girl all year Santa didn't really bring me any goodies to play with:(  Best that I buy what I want anyway.  I hope Santa was good to all of you.

Quick little update since my last post.  I have added to my family once again! I have an 11 week old puppy running around the house!  She is a yellow lab and was the best decision I made to give Nala (my chocolate lab who turns 1 this week) a friend to play with!  She is keeping me hopping!  Unfortunately, I put my 14 year old lab/shep down on the 30th of December.  I am missing her like crazy and it was one of the biggest decisions I have ever had to make but in the end it was best for her.  She was deteriorating and before things got worse I wanted to leave her with some dignity.  So we are all trying to adjust with her loss.

She brought me many years of happiness and I am thankful that she came into my life.

This is my new bundle of destruction.  I call her my little firecracker!  She has got some personality is which I am not use to so!

Although Christmas has come and gone I do have a few projects that I want to share with you and the first being an altered vintage Christmas box that I made for a swap over on the cricut message boards.

This was the first time that I alter a box and I am very please with the way it turned out.  I crackled the paint, distressed the edges, fussy cut all the paper which was from stampin up added some Tim Holts embellishments, felt to the bottom of the inside of the box and voila!  My very first altered box!

Hope you enjoyed my project today, sure hoping to get back into the swing of things.  It's been a while since I was crafty!

Another Easy Reproducible Card

It's Sunday night and boy have I got a lot accomplished this weekend.  Some Christmas baking, tree is up, went to see Breaking Dawn Part1 and the never ending housework!

I took time tonight to complete a card with a new cling stamp I received from Simon Says Stamps for the Holiday Boot Camp.  I used versamark for the background which is very faint and subtle.  The sentiment, border punch and cardstock, circle punch are all from stampin up.  Can't forget the corner chomper!

I wish you all a Happy Monday!

The last of the holiday boot camp!

Thinking Friday was the last day of boot camp, big surprise for us cause we are getting a bonus day tomorrow!

Who doesn't love receiving a gift card from a crafty store!!  I do!  So today's project is another gift card holder for yah!  Of course this is my tweaked version.

It cannot get any easier than this 2 circles sealed together to make a pocket for the gift card.  The ribbon attached at the top is actually there to hang on the tree.  The nice thing about these is that you can decorate as simple or elaborate as you like.

Holiday Boot Camp Card!

Hello my crafty friends!  I have yet another reproducible card for you today!  I think this might be my favorite to date!  I love the colors and sparkle because of the perfect pearls used.  These cards are the perfect way to use what you already have in your stash.  I used a stampin up embossing folder, button as well as punch for the snowflake.  The sentiment is from Mr. Cricut Crazy, I used chipboard letters that I had in my stash and my distress inks in tumbled glass, faded jeans and stormy sky.

Tomorrow is our last day of holiday boot camp, boo hoo but I am happy to be leaving with that more knowledge and creative ideas to create many more cards in the future.  I certainly hope they will have another camp in the future.  So will see you back here tomorrow for my last project!

Gift Card Holder #2

Me again!  The next gift card holder was based on a technique that I learned called faux letterpress as well as the fabrication of the poinsettia which has been made out of felt, thank you Jennifer McGuire and Holiday Boot Camp!  So pretty!!

Thanks for stopping by today and will see you back here tomorrow!

Holiday Boot Camp!

Today I have something a little different for you.  Although Holiday Boot Camp is based on card making I took a few ideas and used them as a gift card holder!

The gift card holder is a die that I purchased through Emma over at My Creative Time, if you don't have it, get it!!  Love it and perfect for any occasion!  Did I mention that she also has a co-ordinating stamp set to go with it!!  Get your wallets out ladies!

So the first gift card holder that I have is based on a sketch that we were given in boot camp.  Although it is not a card it still has some of the main concepts.  Sentiment, ribbon or in this case twine and trio of embellishments or stamped images.

Thank you for stopping by and will see you back here tomorrow!

Holiday Boot Camp Card!

Hello my crafty friends today I have another card that I made for the holiday boot camp.  This card is a quick reproducible card.

The woodgrain is from a Hero Arts background stamp, sentiment is from Mr. Cricut Crazy Christmas, Christmas Stamp Set, and the flourishes and poinsettias stamps are from Stampin Up!  I also corner rounded the top right hand side of the card.

Thanks for stopping by!

Mr. Cricut Crazy Design Team Post!

Hey everyone welcome to Mr. Cricut Crazy's Design Team Monday, I hope you all had a crafty weekend.  I got started on my Christmas cards and I'm off to a great start!

For today's card I was inspired by the concept of one of the cards and techniques that was used in the Holiday Boot Camp, certainly not a waste of money and I highly recommend it if you are thinking about signing up.

I have used the Mr. Cricut Crazy Summertime Fun Stamp Set for today's card.  A  friend who is also a co-worker is returning to work tomorrow after being off on a mat leave and thought I would give her this card on her first day back as a little pick me up!

I have used my cricut imagine for the sun image which is from the Imagine More cartridge, Swirls Embossing folder and a combination of mustard seed, wild honey and spiced marmalade distress ink which has been sprayed down with perfect pearls.

I hope you have enjoyed todays card, thanks for stopping by and I will see you back here tomorrow with another card from Boot Camp!

Holiday Boot Camp Card

As promised I have another card for you today which I created yesterday as part of the 2011 Holiday Boot Camp Series hosted by Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire.  Have I told you that these ladies are absolutely talented in so many ways, they are truly inspirational!

This is my very first A10 card which will fit in a regular business size envelope.  I also used for the very first time my cricut imagine Snow Angels cartridge as well as my Joys of the Season imagine cartridge.  Can you believe it!  Also managed to get my imagine update so I am all set.  Never had a Christmas card come together in no time!

As you can see I used my snowflake embossing folder and slightly distressed the edges with tumbled glass ink.  There is quite a bit of dimension to this card as I did use the layers option on the cuts.  To finish things off I used the new Christmas twine, thanks Courtney and I used stickles on the holly berries.  Card complete!  This may not be the last time you see me use an A10 size card.

Looking forward to hump day tomorrow!

2011 Holiday Boot Camp

Well after taking a week off from blogging I think I have rejuvenated my creative juices and ready to get back into the swing of things!

I have enrolled in Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire's Holiday Bootcamp, which I might add that you can still sign up for, and you haven't missed much as it only started today!  This is the jump start that I need to get my Christmas cards ready.  I created 2 cards today based on the inspiration that we were given.  I have for you today my first card which I used very non traditional colors and I love it!

I embossed my chipboard ornament with this yummy color of recollections embossing powder.  The sentiment is from Stampin up and can you tell where I used my white picket fence acrylic paint?  I lightened the cardstock to make it appear as if it were a different shade of pink!  Genious!

Meet be back here tomorrow and I will show you card #2.

Thank you all for joining during this countdown and I wish you all a safe and Happy Halloween!

Mr. Cricut Crazy Design Team Post!

It's funny how fast the weekends just fly by, I sure do wish they were longer sometimes!  But you are here to see a project not to hear me complain!

For today's card I used the stamp Dads, Dad from Mr. Cricut Crazy and I must tell you when it comes time to Tanner's stamps you must think outside the box as there are so many possibilities.  The sentiment that I choose was "Your Too Cool" and hopefully you will understand the concept behind my using it after seeing my card!!

To create this card I used the MS punch, spellbinders die, SU punch and Jolly Holidays cricut cartridge for the snowman hence the sentiment snowmen are "cool".   I used a peachy keen stamp for the face, brads for the buttons, twine for the trim of HER hat, copic blush marker for the cheeks and liquid pearls for the blades of the skates. I adhered a couple of pearls to the sentiment punch and used my white gel pen around the spellbinders die.

Too cute heh!!  Be sure to come back a little later to see my Halloween post!!
