Valentine Blog Hop

Welcome Everyone to Princess and the Paper Valentine Blog Hop! If you are arriving from loganscraftymomma you are on the right track and if you are just visiting my blog be sure to check out the amazing talent along this hop.  I will post a link to the line up below.  I am the last stop along this hop and I must thank Jillian for hosting!  I am so excited to share with you all my first altered picture frame that I so wanted to keep for myself but have given it to my parents for their anniversary!  The chocolate spaniel "Miss Abby" is my parents dog and the lab/shepard "Miss Riley" is mine and they both enjoy the time they get to spend together.  This stinkin cute picture was taken at the cottage last summer!

I purchased the frame from Michaels painted it in Folk Art Berries N' Cream paint then covered it with Basic Grey's Blush PP.  The edges were inked with Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The title was cut from the Sweetheart cartridge at 2.53' on my gypsy.  The terrier dog was cut from Create a Critter at 2.53' and was blinged up my IRock with a rhinestone, stickles on the ears and I used my white gelly pen for some puppy freckles then added chalk to the cheeks and attached it to the frame with a wobble. I must tell you as I showed my parents how the wobble worked and wobbling it over and over, cause I think they are the cutest things ever my dad finally said to me "leave my wobble alone"!  It was quite funny!
Prima flowers along with buttons, brads and yummy twine were used to embellish the right hand side of the frame.

Now what blog hop wouldn't be a great hop without some blog candy!  In order to qualify you must be or become a follower and leave a comment.  Love to read all the comments.  Here is what I have to offer!  Notice all the pink and red!  Wouldn't be a Valentine Blog Hop without!  I will choose a winner on Monday, February 14th, 2011, Valentines Day using random.org so be sure to leave a way in which I can get a hold of you.

Owl Be Yours!

It's finally Friday and it's been a long work week, I am soo glad that it is over.  If only I could craft all day, I know keep dreaming!  In order to maintain this addiction I need to work!

This card is not typical colors for Valentines Day but that's o.k. right?  Not everything has to be pink, red and white it's all about the sentiment!

I so love the sheer ribbon that I used from my stash and I am sad to say that I have none left.  The stamp sentiment is fromPink By Designs Be Mine, love it!

Be sure to come back tomorrow as Jillian from Princess and the Paper will be hosting a Valentines Day Blog Hop and I can't wait to show you my project.  We have some talented crafters along the hop including LogansCraftyMama and Tanner from Mr. Cricut Crazy!  I am sure you all want to hear that I also have some blog candy to give away!  I hope that you can hop along with us!  Until then.

Pucker Up!

I love the lips that can be found in the Indie Art cartridge which is only accessible to those that have obtained the free gypsy downloads. The lips were cut at 3.82'. I blinged up this card with Tourmaline Martha Stewart Glitter which I ran through my Xyron to adhere the glitter to.  Great tip if you don't want to use wet glue.

Paper is from K & Company and the stamp set is from the new Pink By Design Be Mine Stamp Set.

United

Hello bloggy friends!

Today I am posting a layout of my recent wedding, I am not sure that it is my favorite.  Maybe it's missing something or the top picture is out of place, something.  Sooner or later I will figure it out!  Although I am happy to announce that the tag on this layout is one of my first!  I am pleased with the way it turned out but I must confess I did get some help from good old Tim Holtz!
Would be great to hear what you think!

Stampin Up Cardstock, PP and punch was used.  The tag was cut from tags bags and boxes at 4.53' using my gypsy.  The title was cut at 2.18' from gypsy wanderings.  I used Tim Holtz grungeboard for the heart, wings and inks, recollections flower and lace, twine and the key is one from my stash and I tried alcohol ink on it and I think it failed!  Must watch more tutorials on that!

Countdown to Valentines Day!

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had an awesome weekend!  My day did not start off the greatest to I am thankfull it is the end of the day!

This week I will be showcasing projects that are related to the upcoming Valentines Day and I can't wait to share them with you!

My first project is a card that I made for my dear nephew.  I think he will get a real kick out of receiving his very own mail, he just recently moved away from us.

I used the famous Create a Critter Cartridge which the squirrel was cut at 2.61 using my gypsy. My card base was welded together at 7.35'.  I embossed the top portion of the nut with my swiss embossing folder.  I mounted the squirrel on a wobble.  I used my white gel pen for some extra doodling and stiching around the nut.  I used the new stamp set by Pink By Design Be Mine on the exterior of the card and on the interior I also used the new stamp set by My Creative Time with Emma You Had Me At Chocolate.  To finish it off I used some yummy twine!  I think this has got to be one of my most favorite cards!

Monster Inc.

I absolutely love this layout, I love the colors, I love the use of the new cricut cartridge Best of Pixar and I love that once again I was able to use a fabulous sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches.  My son had the opportunity to go to Disney with his Aunt and family and although I wasn't able to go I was able to get my hands on all the gorgeous pictures that were taken, so don't be surprised if you see tons of disney layouts! I would love to hear what you think.

The Sketch:

My layout:

I used the Birthday Bash and Best of Pixar cricut cartridges, twine in luscious purple, martha stewart punch, my IRock and rhinestones, SU cardstock and the PP is from my stash!  Wishing you all a fab weekend!

MY VERY FIRST MINI ALBUM!!

I am so excited to be able to show you my very first try at a mini chipboard album.  My girlfriend had her third baby in December and it was a GIRL!!  It's not as many pages as most of the minis I have seen but a great start in my opinion!  Would love to hear what you think.  There are so many inspirational minis out there to help the beginners out!
