Thank You Card

Hi bloggy friends, it's finally Friday.  I treated myself and toke the day off and scheduled to have a massage!  Oh, I can't wait!

Todays card I will be submitting for a few challenges this past week.  Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge which was to create a project using Everyday Paper Dolls or Dress Up Cartridge and heat or dry emboss.  The other is over at Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday Challenge which was to create a project using the Sweethearts Cartrige.  I have done both!

My mother in law has been in hospital for the last couple of weeks and due to be discharged hopefully today.  She has been very happy with the overall care that she has received and wanted to show the doctors just how much she appreciates them by giving them a gift card for coffee.  Of course I volunteered to make the cards and I am so happy that I did.  They were alot of work but think they turned out terrific!  She asked that I make three of them.  Now I cannot take credit for the design of this card as I was truly inspired by ScrappinJen31 over on You Tube.  Thank you so much for the inspiration!  I really enjoy your work!

I used the Sweetheart Cartridge for the tag on the card.  Swiss dots and Square lattice embossing folders.  White gel pen, Bakers Twine, Stickles, Black Magic Glitter Mist, Chalk, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, Happy Lashes and Everyday Character Peachy Keen Stamps, Stormy Sky and Pummice Stone Distressing Ink.  Dolls were cut out from Everyday Paper Dolls using my gypsy at 3.47'.

I hope the docs enjoy them!

Something Sweet

Sorry I didn't get anything posted yesterday the wweekend was a complete write off for me and I absolutely got nothing accomplished.  Today's card I certainly cannot take credit for.  My upline from Stampin Up sent it to me sometime ago and thought that is was perfect Valentines.  This card can also be reproduced using the Sweetheart catridge as it also has a cut of a bubble gum machine.
This card was used with all stampin up products-the top note die, satin ribbon, cardstock, PP and Something Sweet Stamp Set.

I have created another layout for my wedding album and think it is oh so pretty.  For those that are not aware I got married in September of last year.  My wedding colors were celery green, chocolate brown and cream, the reason for the colors in the layout.

Lot's of Prima and felt SU flowers were used along with bling and pearls.

I used SU ribbon, twine, cardstock and PP was used for layout.

Bind It All Post It Note Holder

Hello my bloggy friends so glad you could stop by today!

Prior to Christmas I decided I was going to go out on a limb and participate in a Christmas Craft Show.  Didn't realize all of the preparation that went into something like this and to top it off the traffic flow was not there unfortunately.  I am very happy with some of the cute projects that I created and this one in particular was used with my bind it all.

The butterfly was cut at 3' from Gypsy Wanderings.  I used a medium weight chipboard which I covered with SU PP on both the inside and outside and sanded the edges.

Once I have my etsy store up and running I will be selling these darling little things that are the perfect size for your purses ladies!!

Scrapbook Layout

I got married in September and have yet to start my layouts from my wedding and thought one of my goals for 2011 was to get them done.  Having said that hopefully you won't get sick of wedding layouts!  I promise I will try and bring something new to the crafting table everytime.
Sarah, over at Pink Cricut just recently purchased Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist and it just so happens that I have used it on my layout today.  This stuff is easily addictive and I must confess I have another 5 bottles on order but we crafters are not addicts, are we?

This layout is a picture of my brother and I the day of the wedding.  I am sooo very pleased with the way it turned out, elegant I think is the right word.    For better viewing click on picture.

I used SU PP, cardstock, 2 3/8 scallop circle punch and 1 3/4 circle punch.  I inked around all edges using Tim Holtz Walnut Stain distress ink.  Corner Chopper was used to round edge of picture and George & Basic Shapes Cartridge was used to cut rounded square at 9.59' and rectangles were cut at 9.94' and 9.35'

The title was cut at 1.82' from Gypsy Wonderings.  I also used the shadow feature.

Hopefully you can see some of the shine but I used Tattered Leather (stem & leaves) and Delphinium (flower) Glimmer Mist on some jumbo chipboard pieces.  Lay your pieces down into an old cardboard box, spray and blot with a paper towel and voila you got instant shine!!  You can always use your heat tool for quicker drying.

I will see you back here tomorrow for a project using my Bind It All!!

Ashley's Birthday Blog Hop!!

Welcome to Ashley’s Birthday Blog Hop! I am so excited that she has asked me to participate in my very FIRST blog hop! Hopefully it is not my last and the beginning of many more to come! If you are just coming from http://courtscrafts.blogspot.com/ then you are on the right track if not you may start at the beginning of the hop by visiting Ashley’s blog http://myscrappinpalace.blogspot.com/ and be sure to wish her a Happy Birthday!

She has asked us to create something that had to do with birthday animals. Correct me if I am wrong but Create a Critter was the perfect cartridge that came to mind for this hop. I have created two cards both using Create a Critter and I absolutely think they both turned out stinkin cute!!

This is a regular A2 size card using Create a Critter.  The crap was cut at 3.5' and was adhered with an action wobble. The shell was also cut at 3.5'.  The sentiment used is from  My Pink Stamper More Punny-licious Stamp Set. SU cardstock, PP, punch, and MS baker's twine were used in this project.  I added some stickles to her rosy cheeks to finish it off!

My second card is also a regular A2 size card and the piggy was cut at 3.5', party hat at 1' and phrase bubble at 2'.  The sentiment used is from Scrappy Moms Sweet Something Stamp Set.  SU cardstock, PP, ribbon and twine were used in this project.  I also added some stickles and my forever learning doodling!

This blog hop would not be complete without me offering some blog candy!!  In order to be eligible to win you must become a follower and leave a comment.  I will use random.org to pick a winner on Friday.  Wanna know what's up for graps!! Fancy pants rub ons, ribbon, pearls, a stamp set, assortment of felt flowers and a set of circle cards which I might add love them!!  Good luck to all those that enter!

I have included a list of all the lovely ladies blogs to hop on over to just in case you get lost so be sure to check them out!  Your next stop will be Angela at http://creativecraftin.blogspot.com/

Happy New Year to all my family, friends and fellow crafters!  Wishing you all the very best for 2011!
Today's project was made using the Tags, Bags and Boxes which was a free download for me for having a gypsy (the box was cut at 5.5' and I was able to get 2 on a 12x12 mat) , Scrappy Mom's Winter Wishes Clear Stamp Set and a stinkin cute FREE Peachy Keen snowman stamp that I received when I placed an order over the holidays! I used Stampin markers to color in my little snowman along with some stickles, we musn't forget the bling factor!
I made each one of my Christmas Dinner Guest, 16 in total some Snowman Soup to take home with them!  I love how they turned out.  For those that are not familiar snowman soup consists of a package of hot cocoa, some marshmellows, a candy cane and a few hersey kisses along with a cute poem of choice.

I will be back a little later to announce the line up for Ashley's Birthday Blog Hop on Tuesday so be sure to check back!
