Bad News

Hi everyone just wanted to make my followers aware that I will not be part of the bloggy world for maybe the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately, my house was broken into and a number of electronics were taken, one in which being my laptop with all my pictures and videos. I am very upset and beside myself and don't really have words to describe the way I am feeling. Thankfully my pets were not harmed and my house was not trashed. I will try and take sneak peaks of all your blogs from work in the meantime I have the insurance company to deal with.

Celebrate the Occasions Challenge #16

Welcome to Celebrate the Occasion challenge #16.  This weeks theme was Schools Out and we had to include an apple. So be sure to head over to Celebrate the Occasion and check out what the rest of the design team has in store and the chance to win the Spring Holidays Card Cartridge.

Being that I have 2 boys in school we always get their school pictures even at 17 and 18 so I have many pictures to choose from to create a layout.

Here is the final take on the challenge and a video with step by step instructions!  Rest assured that I have reversed the title to say "Outstanding Student" must have been pretty late at night!!

Be sure to come back on Saturday June 4th for our Pool Party Blog Hop where we have an amazing group of ladies participating.

Altered Project

It's hump day today, and that means that I am half way through the work week!  Yipee!

Went to the show last night, yes again with my mom and went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean.  I enjoyed it but if you are looking for a good laugh Bridesmaid is a must see.

I also got some happy mail yesterday, 2 new cartridges!  April Showers and the Cricut Imagine Snow Angel Cartridge and all I can say is awesome!!  Can't wait to play.  I also have some exciting news to share with you all but it must wait just a little longer!!!

Onto to today's projects is definitely altered and I have made about 5 of them to date!!  Just can't get enough!  This one in particular I made it for my mom.

The altered letters were purchased at Michael's.  All embellishments are from Recollection.  I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo.  The patterned paper is from Stampin Up and the script stamp is from Hero Arts.  I sprayed the flowers with glimmer mist and the edges were all paint with buttermilk acrylic paint.

My mom loved it so that's all that matters in the end!

I cheated!!

I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  It rained most of the weekend which gave me the chance to watch some movies and go to the show with my mom to see Bridesmaid, which was totally funny!!

It also gave me the opportunity to craft a little which mean that I used both my Imagine and E2.  I am happy to report that I have had no glitches yet and had no problems with the updating.  Of course I had to try the printing option with the Imagine and I did purchase the Best Friends cartridges which is too cute and it just so happens that it has some bonus projects one in which includes a pre-made scrapbook layout so I thought I would add my paper and see what happens!!  Although this is by no means is my creation it has made it very simple for me to just add a couple of pictures.  So essentially I cheated.  I printed it out and it cut around the edge of the mat so I just added the layout to a piece of cardstock and voila!!  My first layout with my imagine!!

The colors are what I expected and it printed awesome, so I am pleased for those of you contemplating purchasing an Imagine.

My first project is for her last challenge of the day #12 which was to create a kids themed project.  It turns out my nieces birthday is on Tuesday so what better time then to make a card for her.

Little Princess and looking for advice!

So I must apologize as I did say that I was going to post a project yesterday and time just ran away from me and I didn't get a chance.

Before I post my project I am looking for some fellow crafters advice.  Needless to say I am a fellow Canadian who wasn't able to purchase the E2 so having said that I am wondering if I am not best just to buy the imagine? I really like the idea of printing and which imagine cartridges would you say are the all time cartridges. I am torn and looking for some advice ladies.  I value your opinions.

On to today's project which was created with one of my favorite cartridges "Sugar and Spice" and to think I don't even have any girls!!  These pictures are of one of my girlfriends daughter.

I promise I will see you all back here tomorrow and can't wait to hear what you guys suggest about the imagine.

Celebrate the Occasions Challenge #12

Welcome everyone to challenge #12 over at http://celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com/.  Do you want the opportunity to win the Simply Sweet Cartridge?  Head over there and participate and be sure to send the rest of the designers your love!!  Luckily for me this challenge was all about graduation!  It just so happens that I have a son graduating this year so of course I used his picture and create a 12x12 layout!  I will add the journalling on my thoughts of graduation which isn't scheduled until the 22nd of June.

There are alot of layers to this layout and the first time I use an 8x10 photo but I wouldn't change a thing. Don't hesitate to ask any questions should you have any.

Thanks for stopping by and thank you to all the ladies that left thoughts and prayers for my son who broke his collar bone a week ago.  We met with the specialist today who gave us the option of surgery but being that he is still young it should heal on it's own just incorrectly of course.  He is still in alot of pain and his restrictions are endless until July which affects his part time job and his current school apprenticeship program he is taking.  Another follow up appointment in 2 weeks and until then he continues to sleep in the lazy boy, poor kid!

Enjoy the rest of your day and be sure to stop back tomorrow as I will have another project for you all.
