Altered Wooden Frame

Well my party was a success!  Everyone had fun, food turned out great and everyone brought a carved pumpkin and dressed up!

This altered frame that I made was a the winning gift for the best carved pumpkin!  The winning frame went to my parents who had the winning pumpkin best on the results of the judging on facebook!

I crackled the frame and used a combination of IAR, WOC and Recollection flowers.  The felt pieces are from Close To My Heart and the large skull is from Dollarama.

I covered the backside with Tim Holtz Tissue Tape which I received from Julene and then modge podge it!

The winning pumpkins!!  Mama bird feeding her baby in their nest!  How sweet and so creative!

Tomorrow is the big day and I will have a couple of posts for you!!

Happy Friday!!  I have to say this week just flew right by.  God I love those weeks.  I have for you today an altered picture frame that I created for a swap that was held over on the Cricut message board.  I have not received mine yet but will post pictures when I do.  I can't wait I have never received an altered project from someone before.

I used a Michaels picture frame, Lindy's Stamp Gang products from the sprays, to the embossing powders and stains.  Tim Holtz Bird Cage Die, Crackle Medium, Recollection Embellishments, Brads, Rub Ons, Distress Ink, Bronze Pearls and last but not least Ribbon.

I have so happy with the way it turned and I am thankful that Robin loved it.

I wish you all a great weekend!

Altered Project

It's hump day today, and that means that I am half way through the work week!  Yipee!

Went to the show last night, yes again with my mom and went and saw Pirates of the Caribbean.  I enjoyed it but if you are looking for a good laugh Bridesmaid is a must see.

I also got some happy mail yesterday, 2 new cartridges!  April Showers and the Cricut Imagine Snow Angel Cartridge and all I can say is awesome!!  Can't wait to play.  I also have some exciting news to share with you all but it must wait just a little longer!!!

Onto to today's projects is definitely altered and I have made about 5 of them to date!!  Just can't get enough!  This one in particular I made it for my mom.

The altered letters were purchased at Michael's.  All embellishments are from Recollection.  I distressed the edges with Vintage Photo.  The patterned paper is from Stampin Up and the script stamp is from Hero Arts.  I sprayed the flowers with glimmer mist and the edges were all paint with buttermilk acrylic paint.

My mom loved it so that's all that matters in the end!

United

Hello bloggy friends!

Today I am posting a layout of my recent wedding, I am not sure that it is my favorite.  Maybe it's missing something or the top picture is out of place, something.  Sooner or later I will figure it out!  Although I am happy to announce that the tag on this layout is one of my first!  I am pleased with the way it turned out but I must confess I did get some help from good old Tim Holtz!
Would be great to hear what you think!

Stampin Up Cardstock, PP and punch was used.  The tag was cut from tags bags and boxes at 4.53' using my gypsy.  The title was cut at 2.18' from gypsy wanderings.  I used Tim Holtz grungeboard for the heart, wings and inks, recollections flower and lace, twine and the key is one from my stash and I tried alcohol ink on it and I think it failed!  Must watch more tutorials on that!

MY VERY FIRST MINI ALBUM!!

I am so excited to be able to show you my very first try at a mini chipboard album.  My girlfriend had her third baby in December and it was a GIRL!!  It's not as many pages as most of the minis I have seen but a great start in my opinion!  Would love to hear what you think.  There are so many inspirational minis out there to help the beginners out!

Scrapbooking Layout

I am not even sure how I came about this sketch but it can be found at MLSB Sketches, they are gorgeous and I have used many and will continue to use them!

The Sketch:

My Take on the sketch is my beautifull goddaughter who just turned 1 in September.  She is a doll and love her to pieces.  Pictures that were definetly a must to scrapbook!

SU PP and cadstock was used in this layout.  All embellishments are from Recollections,  Tag is from K & Company.

I used my IRock to adhere 3 pink gems.

Hope you enjoy, would love to hear what you think.  I tend to like clean simple lines.  I will be back tomorrow with another scrapbooking layout in which I will be submitting to a deisgn team!

Sketch It Week

This week I thought it would be fun to follow along with some sketch challenges on some of the blogs for both scrapbooking and cards.  They can be very inspiring amd they often help get the creative juices flowing.  The first sketch is from Sketchy Thursdays and the scrapbooker that I am thought it was a good start for the beginning of the week!

The sketch:

My take on the sketch!  I know Halloween pictures but who isn't behind with their pictures!

I hope you all can join me in Sketch It Week!  All papers were used from the Recollections Ravenhead Manor Collection.
