Holiday Boot Camp!

Today I have something a little different for you.  Although Holiday Boot Camp is based on card making I took a few ideas and used them as a gift card holder!

The gift card holder is a die that I purchased through Emma over at My Creative Time, if you don't have it, get it!!  Love it and perfect for any occasion!  Did I mention that she also has a co-ordinating stamp set to go with it!!  Get your wallets out ladies!

So the first gift card holder that I have is based on a sketch that we were given in boot camp.  Although it is not a card it still has some of the main concepts.  Sentiment, ribbon or in this case twine and trio of embellishments or stamped images.

Thank you for stopping by and will see you back here tomorrow!

Mr. Cricut Crazy Design Team Post!

It's funny how fast the weekends just fly by, I sure do wish they were longer sometimes!  But you are here to see a project not to hear me complain!

For today's card I used the stamp Dads, Dad from Mr. Cricut Crazy and I must tell you when it comes time to Tanner's stamps you must think outside the box as there are so many possibilities.  The sentiment that I choose was "Your Too Cool" and hopefully you will understand the concept behind my using it after seeing my card!!

To create this card I used the MS punch, spellbinders die, SU punch and Jolly Holidays cricut cartridge for the snowman hence the sentiment snowmen are "cool".   I used a peachy keen stamp for the face, brads for the buttons, twine for the trim of HER hat, copic blush marker for the cheeks and liquid pearls for the blades of the skates. I adhered a couple of pearls to the sentiment punch and used my white gel pen around the spellbinders die.

Too cute heh!!  Be sure to come back a little later to see my Halloween post!!

United

Hello bloggy friends!

Today I am posting a layout of my recent wedding, I am not sure that it is my favorite.  Maybe it's missing something or the top picture is out of place, something.  Sooner or later I will figure it out!  Although I am happy to announce that the tag on this layout is one of my first!  I am pleased with the way it turned out but I must confess I did get some help from good old Tim Holtz!
Would be great to hear what you think!

Stampin Up Cardstock, PP and punch was used.  The tag was cut from tags bags and boxes at 4.53' using my gypsy.  The title was cut at 2.18' from gypsy wanderings.  I used Tim Holtz grungeboard for the heart, wings and inks, recollections flower and lace, twine and the key is one from my stash and I tried alcohol ink on it and I think it failed!  Must watch more tutorials on that!

Countdown to Valentines Day!

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had an awesome weekend!  My day did not start off the greatest to I am thankfull it is the end of the day!

This week I will be showcasing projects that are related to the upcoming Valentines Day and I can't wait to share them with you!

My first project is a card that I made for my dear nephew.  I think he will get a real kick out of receiving his very own mail, he just recently moved away from us.

I used the famous Create a Critter Cartridge which the squirrel was cut at 2.61 using my gypsy. My card base was welded together at 7.35'.  I embossed the top portion of the nut with my swiss embossing folder.  I mounted the squirrel on a wobble.  I used my white gel pen for some extra doodling and stiching around the nut.  I used the new stamp set by Pink By Design Be Mine on the exterior of the card and on the interior I also used the new stamp set by My Creative Time with Emma You Had Me At Chocolate.  To finish it off I used some yummy twine!  I think this has got to be one of my most favorite cards!

Monster Inc.

I absolutely love this layout, I love the colors, I love the use of the new cricut cartridge Best of Pixar and I love that once again I was able to use a fabulous sketch from Sassy Lil' Sketches.  My son had the opportunity to go to Disney with his Aunt and family and although I wasn't able to go I was able to get my hands on all the gorgeous pictures that were taken, so don't be surprised if you see tons of disney layouts! I would love to hear what you think.

The Sketch:

My layout:

I used the Birthday Bash and Best of Pixar cricut cartridges, twine in luscious purple, martha stewart punch, my IRock and rhinestones, SU cardstock and the PP is from my stash!  Wishing you all a fab weekend!

Thank You Card

Hi bloggy friends, it's finally Friday.  I treated myself and toke the day off and scheduled to have a massage!  Oh, I can't wait!

Todays card I will be submitting for a few challenges this past week.  Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge which was to create a project using Everyday Paper Dolls or Dress Up Cartridge and heat or dry emboss.  The other is over at Scrappy Mom's Terrific Tuesday Challenge which was to create a project using the Sweethearts Cartrige.  I have done both!

My mother in law has been in hospital for the last couple of weeks and due to be discharged hopefully today.  She has been very happy with the overall care that she has received and wanted to show the doctors just how much she appreciates them by giving them a gift card for coffee.  Of course I volunteered to make the cards and I am so happy that I did.  They were alot of work but think they turned out terrific!  She asked that I make three of them.  Now I cannot take credit for the design of this card as I was truly inspired by ScrappinJen31 over on You Tube.  Thank you so much for the inspiration!  I really enjoy your work!

I used the Sweetheart Cartridge for the tag on the card.  Swiss dots and Square lattice embossing folders.  White gel pen, Bakers Twine, Stickles, Black Magic Glitter Mist, Chalk, Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set, Happy Lashes and Everyday Character Peachy Keen Stamps, Stormy Sky and Pummice Stone Distressing Ink.  Dolls were cut out from Everyday Paper Dolls using my gypsy at 3.47'.

I hope the docs enjoy them!

Ashley's Birthday Blog Hop!!

Welcome to Ashley’s Birthday Blog Hop! I am so excited that she has asked me to participate in my very FIRST blog hop! Hopefully it is not my last and the beginning of many more to come! If you are just coming from http://courtscrafts.blogspot.com/ then you are on the right track if not you may start at the beginning of the hop by visiting Ashley’s blog http://myscrappinpalace.blogspot.com/ and be sure to wish her a Happy Birthday!

She has asked us to create something that had to do with birthday animals. Correct me if I am wrong but Create a Critter was the perfect cartridge that came to mind for this hop. I have created two cards both using Create a Critter and I absolutely think they both turned out stinkin cute!!

This is a regular A2 size card using Create a Critter.  The crap was cut at 3.5' and was adhered with an action wobble. The shell was also cut at 3.5'.  The sentiment used is from  My Pink Stamper More Punny-licious Stamp Set. SU cardstock, PP, punch, and MS baker's twine were used in this project.  I added some stickles to her rosy cheeks to finish it off!

My second card is also a regular A2 size card and the piggy was cut at 3.5', party hat at 1' and phrase bubble at 2'.  The sentiment used is from Scrappy Moms Sweet Something Stamp Set.  SU cardstock, PP, ribbon and twine were used in this project.  I also added some stickles and my forever learning doodling!

This blog hop would not be complete without me offering some blog candy!!  In order to be eligible to win you must become a follower and leave a comment.  I will use random.org to pick a winner on Friday.  Wanna know what's up for graps!! Fancy pants rub ons, ribbon, pearls, a stamp set, assortment of felt flowers and a set of circle cards which I might add love them!!  Good luck to all those that enter!

I have included a list of all the lovely ladies blogs to hop on over to just in case you get lost so be sure to check them out!  Your next stop will be Angela at http://creativecraftin.blogspot.com/
